What's your favorite thing about working here? During the winter (off-season), we start to make up work to keep me busy.

What is your background? I am certified as a US Army avionics mechanic; I've spent 7 years working with Randy; I've traveled the globe installing baseball equipment and netting.

What do you do for fun outside of Inflatabilities?  I've been contemplating rebuilding my boat, but I haven't started on it yet.

After hundreds of phone calls coming in over the past two years, it's evident that the number one question leading parents decision making process for booking an inflatable unit is price. "How much do your moonwalks cost?" is the number one question we hear. Rarely do we get asked questions about safety.

While there are hundreds of inflatable rental companies around the country that help facilitate thousands of safe events each year, there have been a few stories that made headlines in 2011, where the unnexpected happened, like a slide collapsed or a moonwalk got blown over by the wind. But rest assured that most of the accidents happened due to negligence of the operator.

The logo listed above is a seal for companies in the inflatable industry that are members of SIOTO (Safe Inflatable Operators Traning Organization). To this date, Inflatabilities is the only company in Kansas City that is not only registered as a member, but also has it's full-time staff certified in basic and advanced certification for setting up inflatables.

A big "Thank You" goes out to Principal Anthony Lewis and also Rasheda Walker for coordinating this event and inviting us to help with the fun elements. It's great to see another school in Kansas City with top-notch faculty and parents.

Because we specialize in fun, it only makes sense that we must have fun in order to better help facilitate it for others. On the flip side of this equation, however, we also take our job very seriously, which is why every year we go down to the IAAPA (International Association of  Amusement Parks and Attractions) Convention in Orlando.

Why might this little fact be important to you? Whether you are renting an inflatable moonwalk, mechanical bull, or laser tag in Kansas City, we want ensure that you are getting the best quality product out there. We attend IAAPA so we can meet, face to face, with inflatable and attraction manufacturers and test their products hands on. A lot of people don't realize that there are a lot of cheap, poorly made, Chinese knock-offs of American made inflatables. Also, some inflatable companies boast product safety, but until you climb up the inflatable and test the product thoroughly, you'll never know for sure what you are getting. We are coming into the new year with confidence, knowing that we are delivering the best quality rentals to our friends and family.

We love all the love and goodwill that is being spread in Kansas City. Over this past weekend, DESPERATION CHURCH, based in Liberty, threw a huge event where they gave out 2-4 grocery bags of food for those in need. Here is a testimony from one who benefited greatly from the event:

"I just wanted to say thanks for the free groceries on Sunday. My husband and i hadn't eaten in 3 days so we could feed our children. The food i was given in line while waiting was my first meal in 3 days, thanks isn't enough but thank you to you and your members. We recently moved here from Texas after losing everything and recently got on our feet to get a duplex and my husband lost his job 5 weeks after we moved in. we are still waiting on our food stamps and hardly make rent with my sons ssi. Thanks again." - Amanda R.
